Telemarketing Info - List scrubbing

We recommend becoming famiiar with telemarketing rules which are in place to help protect consumers and provide guidance to telemarketers.

One area to focus on initially is the Do Not Call Lists. We offer some links on this page to help telemarketers get started on the right foot.

One type of service to review is List Scrubbing Services.

Additionally, you'll find links to the Do Not Call website and the FTC that offer information to help telemarketers learn how to be in compliance.

Tips

One of the better tips I like to recommend relates to how to use lists that are often generated for the purpose of prosecting.

Given that prospects sometimes forget they requested information (filled out a form online) and how people are conditioned to not expect phone calls, it just makes sense to reach out to your prospects so they will be more open to receive answers to their inquiry or an inquiry from someone in their household.

Question: Should I phone or Email the Leads?

Answer: The answer involves something called "Door Openers."

"While surveyed leads may generallly include telephone numbers, we normally recommend sending an email or postal mailer to your prospects initially. Sending an email or series of emails to the leads allows you to weed through them and build your mailing list and determine those who are truly interested in what you have to offer."

Marketing by email can benefit from the same approach. Marketers often recommend sending out your postal offer first and then following up by email.

This advice makes sense when using phone lists and surveyed leads that include postal and email information. For example, why not use email to help open the door or perhaps send your information by postal mail to open doors? It's a great way to start a conversation.

Our goal is to help telemarketers market in a way that allows them to market and increase their chances of success.

Additionallly, no matter if you are inexperiened or experienced telemarketer, it's recommended to touch base with an experienced marketer who's actively prospecting so you find out what's working best for them. The FTC offers rules and guidelines as well. Some suggest that you contact an attorney to obtain information before engaging in telemarketing - just to be sure you are in compliance with current regulations regarding the rules of telemarketing.
